I will bring you Botticelli’s Graces

teased from the walls of the Louvre;

curving-soft companions of Love wrapped

in the blue-pink tissue of an evening sky

above Florence.

 

I will bring you a Balthazar of champagne

encased in last winter’s icicles;

golden liquid apples

to bubble in your blood and giggle

through your heart.

 

I will bring you π in Pandora’s emptied box;

each numeral traced on a leaf of chocolate veined

and scented with orange or vanilla or rose or mint,

that choice is yours, but of course, the first one you eat will

be a 3
